MegaSys Releases Telenium BLU, COPPER and SPECTRA

Calgary, Alberta - MegaSys is pleased to announce the release of its Telenium network management system on a Linux operating platform.

"We have spent considerable time developing a robust interface to the Linux operating system and have achieved performance results that far surpassed our expectations. In fact, the new Linux-based system significantly outperforms the previous OpenVMS operating environment."
"This new platform also allows us to take advantage of virtual environments for very small customers. Customers in the market for an entry-level network management solution can actually download a Virtual Hard Drive (VHD) and mount it on a Windows platform to have an all-in-one operating environment."
In conjunction with this new release, MegaSys is restructuring its Telenium product line for the Linux environment.
MegaSys' standard product is being reintroduced as Telenium SPECTRA and continues to provide a full spectrum of capabilities including fault tolerance, real-time alarm processing, provisioning, and high level security management of a comprehensive and diverse set of network element types for the element, network and service management layers. Telenium SPECTRA is the solution for those customers with significant numbers of network elements including Tier-1 and Tier-2 operators, utilities, and government systems while still scaling down to support Tier-3 and smaller environments.
The new Telenium BLU is intended for telecom, utility and other companies seeking a basic network management system. While Telenium BLU has many of the standard features of our full product offering, it is targeted at those users looking primarily for a TL1, SNMP and RTU based alarming system.
Telecom equipment vendors are showing great interest in the release of Telenium COPPER. By partnering with MegaSys, network equipment manufacturers can focus on what they do best - engineer network hardware - while taking advantage of a proven, ready-for-market management solution in a customized application.
