MegaSys is pleased to announce the availability of one of the most critical management system features: Network Element Backup and Restore! This new feature, available to all Telenium customers, automates the task of backing up network element databases to the Telenium server. The Telenium system automatically keeps the last 10 backups and backups can be performed on a scheduled basis from daily to weekly to monthly.
In addition to the backup capability, the Telenium system allows you to perform restorations of a previously saved backup to the network element guaranteeing rapid restoration of service to your customers. If the network element is completely isolated, your field technician can simply download the backup image and restore it directly to the network element.
For those network elements that do not support an FTP or TFTP type backup, the Telenium system also supports “Smart Scripting” (SMR). SMR takes your backup SMR logic file and issues the necessary commands to generate a restoration script that, when used in conjunction with our TelCraft application, executes all the commands necessary via the craft port to fully restore a network element to its original operating mode.
