MegaSys™ is pleased to announce that BC Transmission Corporation, a subsidiary of BC Hydro, has installed an advanced MegaSys™ Telenium™ fault tolerant element management system, network management system, and a service management system.
This Telenium system deployment provides all three tiers of the TMN architecture utilizing the integrated Telenium product suite. The Telenium EML provides for direct connection and control of BCTC’s fiber optic network, switch network and radio network. The Telenium NML provides a combined monitoring and control of the entire network. Lastly, the Telenium SML has been implemented to design, build and manage all circuits, facilities and services end-to-end within BCTC’s network.
The MegaSys product provides direct management of Alcatel radios using the MCS11 protocol, Alcatel/Newbridge cross connects, and an extensive fiber optic base. The Telenium system also provides the security and auditing of all activity on the network elements to be compliant with the new NERC/FERC regulations.
