MegaSys™ is pleased to announce that the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority has selected the MegaSys™ Telenium™ network management system for its new fiber optic network that interconnects all of the WMATA sites. A fault tolerant Telenium network management system has been deployed to provide the highest level of system availability. The Telenium system will perform automatic re-routing of critical WMATA traffic upon detection of any fault on the fiber.
The Telenium systems’ standard features were utilized to provide the operators with a single “click-to-switch” capability that immediately switches traffic upon operator demand. Positive feedback and confirmed active routing is critical to this system and was provided with the highly integrated Telenium graphics subsystem.
