MegaSys is Pleased to Announce the Completion of a New Installation of its Leading Edge Telenium Product for the PCS Group of Sprint

Unlike typical Telenium installations, PCS required a system that would provide accurate and regular inventory management reports. Using the advanced features of the Telenium product to acquire all cross connects, equipment service states, and other information such as serial numbers, related equipment, etc., Sprint’s requirements were more than fulfilled. The Inventory Management capability was a natural extension of the Telenium network management system and allowed Sprint to correlate each interface on their DCS equipment to its shelf; to determine whether redundancy was available; gather serial numbers of the equipment; and determine whether the bandwidth was currently in use. Sprint has realized substantial savings with the information provided by the Telenium system - magnitudes higher than the cost of the system itself.
